GROSS REVENUE TAKES A FALL
FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE WE BEGAN collecting financial data on
the Second Hundred in 1999, total gross revenue was down. But the percentage drop is smaller than the decrease of the Am Law 100. Revenue for
the Second Hundred dropped 1 percent in 2009, to $170.8 million from
$172.5 million. Average gross revenue for Am Law 100 firms was down
3. 4 percent, from $671 million to $648 million.
